Happy Snaps from Fiji and Cruise
Published on Thursday, January 10, 2008 – 12:38 pmWell I have had a few people asking me for some photos from my time on holidays in Fiji and on a Cruise around the Pacific (New Caledonia – Noumea, Lifou, Isle of Pines) – I was a bit reluctant at first but after seeing David Airey’s post, I thought why not?
Other Places I’ve Been
If you have read my about page you will know that I love travelling and it may also interest you that I have visited these other places just in case you come from there…Belgium, Canada (British Columbia, Whistler, Blackcomb, Big White), America (California, Los Angeles, San Fransisco, Las Vagas, Florida), Denmark (Copenhagen), England (London), Fiji (Nadi, Suva), Finland, France (Paris), Germany, Netherlands, New Caledonia, New Zealand, Norway (Oslo), Philippines, Solomon Islands, Sweden (Goteborg, Stockholm), Vanuatu, Thailand, Hong Kong.
Future Plans
I am going on a 42 day camping trip by myself (through Contiki) and 29 other people I haven’t met, around Europe (England, France, Spain, Monaco, Italy, Vatican City, Greece, Austria, Germany, Liechtenstein, Switzerland, Holland, Belgium) and on the way back will be stopping in Hong Kong, China for 3 days.
Update: I’ve posted pictures from this trip here.
Two weeks after I come home from that I will be going to Singapore for 3.5 months to study graphic design at Nanyang Technological University as I was awarded a AUD$3000 scholarship to study overseas. It’s going to be a big year. No longer going due to subjects not being valid for my particular degree.
If you have any stories from your travels (especially if they are from the places I have been) I would love to hear them.

Wow, you’re definitely leading an exciting life out there, Jacob! And your father is a magician?! Did he teach you a trick of two?
I really like the way you showcased your photos here, what did you use – looks like a lightbox?
Those corals are stunning, and that champagne fall is very magnificent.
When have you been in Canada? I live in Vancouver. Did you have fun skiing in Whistler?
From the countries on your list I’ve visited the Netherlands, Norway, France (Paris), US (Seattle, New York), I was only passing though Belgium on my bus trip from Amsterdam to Paris. I have very good friends in Amsterdam and they showed me 70% of the Netherlands in two weeks, I had a really great time there.

Nice insight Jacob!
I’m a travel lover too, and your camping trip sounds superb.
Congrats on the scholarship by the way. No doubt you’ll have a fantastic time in Singapore, and do let us know what your classes are like.

Haha, well I try to keep myself busy. Yes, a magician, I have seen a lot of his tricks many times so I learn from that, he doesn’t tell me any secrets.
I showcased the photos with NextGEN Gallery… A really great plugin, I also use it for my portfolio. In my opinion it is better than Lightbox, more user friendly.
I was in Canada for my first White Christmas in 2005 – twas a great holiday, even so I think I am going to and work/ski there in 2010 for 3 months… My plan anyway!
70% of Netherlands in 2 weeks, eek! I couldn’t show you 2% of Australia in 7months! You go 50km and you are still in your backyard!
@David
Yes I am quite excited about Singapore, I did a lot of research of what Uni I wanted to go to (we had to choose from about 10) and what was the best for me and my degree. What would your next place of travel be David? Mine is probably Brazil.

How often do you work out ?

Haha, I will take that as a compliment… I never work out nor do I play any sports, just lucky to have a good metabolism I guess.

Ah I am sure that would have been awesome as well. I am pretty excited about Singapore and Europe and when the funds allow it, I am sure I will head to Brazil. I will start getting back into the blogging world now that most of my site has been sorted.

Nice pics! I’ve sailed with Princess twice before. I really like them. We’ve always had great service and all the ships are laid out the same so we already know our way around when we get on! Some day I’ll make it over to Fiji… and Australia, too, for some diving!
You are quite the traveler. What are you going to have left to do when you retire, though?!
