Loads of thanks for this guide. It’s not only informative, it’s also a lesson in design. At the risk of sounding like a faultfinder, I must point out to you that in several pages where you have “angle of stress” enclosed in singe quotes, the opening quote is a grave accent and the closing quote a typewriter apostrophe. I know a typophile like you wouldn’t want this kind of “typo” to sneak through.

Is there a resource where I could see which fonts are ‘compatible’ with each other? For example which font is great for title(s) and which for body text?

Hi JC,

Saw the first page of ‘Type Classification eBook. Seems an exciting work. IF you don’t mind, may I mark a typing error on page 1 item 6, second line? After “font specimen sheet” the word ‘it’ should be replaced by ‘is’…I think.

I’m not trying to be smart, just to let you know with how much interest and concentration I started reading the book. Will post my comments after I finish the book. Can’t wait. Cheers.
